Chris + Sara

This is a great time of year - the galleries start coming in and I get to re-live all the wonderful moments all over again.  Like this wedding.  I feel like whenever I write these recaps, I gush.  I probably do.  I have the best couples,  THE best.

Chris and Sara?  Another favorite wedding of mine.  I mean, just look at these pictures by Erich Camping and you'll see all the joy on full display.  Take a fun and thoughtful couple that have known each other since high school, two amazing families that like each other (for real, they actually get together and hang out) and a guest list that was ready to kill it on the dance floor and you have Chris and Sara's wedding!  The planning started about 18 months before the wedding and everything just unfolded easily with lots of time for decisions.

Sara and her wedding party spent the morning getting ready at the Strathallan with the help of Special Occasion Hair Design for both hair and make-up.  After a first look on the 9th floor of the hotel, everyone headed to the ceremony at Blessed Sacrament.  St. Joseph's Park was the next stop for more pictures and then on to Oak Hill for a tented reception.

The tables were set with a textured white linen, gold-rimmed glassware and chargers and vineyard chairs, supplied by McCarthy Tents.  Menus, table numbers and escort cards were  designed by Peacock Printing.  Gorgeous florals were designed by Flower Power Decor.  We had a moment of panic when the wind kicked up inside the tent before guests arrived and knocked one of the tall arrangements over.  We quickly moved all of the table pieces to sit directly on the tables for the remainder of the wedding.  It wasn't the look we had planned, but on-the-fly adjustments are common on the actual wedding day.

After dinner, it was time for wedding cake and pastries from Rochester NY Wedding Cake and then a fantastic band from Albany, Soul Session took over.  It's hard to describe the amount of energy that this talented band brings to the party.  They are amazing.  At one point, Sara and Chris were up on stage singing with the band!

What a wonderful day!  Sara and Chris, I had so much fun working with the both of you - it truly was a pleasure.  I loved looking back at these pictures and remembering this sunny and beautiful day!
