Dustin + Keri
Luminous. When I think about Keri and Dustin, that's what comes to mind. These two very special people just glow. Around everyone, but especially each other. You can see it in the pictures, captured brilliantly by Alexandra Meseke.
It was a joy planning this wedding with Keri and Dustin . From the venue search to cake-tasting, every meeting was filled with laughter as we made our way down the to-do list and traded favorite restaurant and cocktail recommendations at the same time. I mean, dream couple, right? Their wedding incorporated traditional elements along with touches that reflected Keri's Jamaican ancestry and Dustin's Filipino heritage. There were a ton of personal touches that were designed and crafted by Keri and Dustin themselves like the paper floral bouquets carried by the bridesmaids, the seating chart and the table numbers, just to name a few. Talented duo, these two.
Strathallan was home base for the weekend. Keri and her girls spent the morning with Sorella Salon for hair and Amy Pink for make-up. Dustin and the groomsmen were planning and practicing a big dance moment, unbeknownst to us.
Keri and Dustin were married at The Episcopal Church of Incarnation and then headed to The Wintergarden for the reception. As usual, Flower Power Decor created stunning florals. Guests were greeted with a rum cocktail when they arrived. After cocktails upstairs, guests headed into the main atrium for dinner and dancing. And by dancing, I mean it never stopped. So many dancing highlights. The fantastic musical vignette that Keri and her brother danced to. Dustin and his groomsmen surprise performance of a few Bruno Mars' songs. The two dance floors. That's right, at one point, there were two dance floors - the 'official' one and another one that popped up down by the dessert table. Which is understandable because I think a donut wall would make anyone dance, right? There were more sweet moments to be had with a cake by Cheesy Eddie's and macarons by Scratch Bakeshop.
Keri and Dustin - such a blast to look back on your special day and remember all the fun we had. You both are awesome and I'm so glad that I was lucky enough to work with you on your wedding!
